We live in a hyper-connected, tech-savvy world where information flows freely online. Everything – blog posts, status updates, photos, thoughts etc. – becomes our “Personal Brand Footprint” to the world. Anyone both within and beyond our network can see, review and form an opinion about us.

In this new Age of Transparency, social media blurs the lines about who we are to friends and family, peers, professional contacts and even those we do not know. Your personal brand is more important than ever.

Have you “Googled” yourself lately? If you haven’t, you may be in for a surprise.

You may think that you have control over your brand, but anyone anywhere can threaten the pristine image that you have taken years to establish with a negative post, embarassing photograph or unflattering article. Conversations are happening all over the Web without our even being aware of them. It’s the Wild, Wild West out there.

If you want to know what’s being said about you and monitor your brand online, then you need to have a tracking system. And you need to start listening.

Here are three tools you can begin using immediately to track and manage your online reputation:

1. Google Alerts (www.google.com/alerts)
Google Alerts are email updates of the latest relevant Google results based on your choice of topic. Set a comprehensive alert for your name, company name, industry topic etc. and you’ll be notified through email and RSS.

2. Twitter (www.twitter.com)
Using the search tool in Twitter, you can locate any mentions of your name and/or Twitter handle (if you are already using the medium). Conduct a search for your name, Twitter handle (if it’s different than your name), company name and topics related to your industry.

3. Social Media Search (www.socialmention.com & www.howsociable.com)
Social Mention and How Sociable are social media search engines that search user-generated content such as blogs, comments, bookmarks, events, videos, news and microblogging services. They allow you to track mentions of your brand across all of these platforms.

We all are born with unlimited potential which is why we can do ANYTHING . . . but we have to realize that we can’t do EVERYTHING. If you don’t discover your purpose, you will spend your life doing the wrong things.

It’s about believing in your potential, recognizing your uniqueness – your talents, your history, your resources, and the desire that is in your heart that speaks to you and sets you on fire. For some lucky people, they identify their purpose at a young age, while others take a lifetime to realize their purpose.

Without knowing your purpose, you end up being a jack-of-all-trades, master of none instead of a jack-of-FEW-trades, who focuses on one.

Nobody ever reached their potential by scattering themselves in 20 different directions. Hear that ADDers? Multiple Hat Wearers?

Reaching your potential requires FOCUS. That’s why it’s important to know your purpose. Then you decide what you are willing to do to live it and what you are willing to give up.

IF you want to do great things, you better prepare to sacrifice much. Success is not a destination, but a journey of continued growth and improvement.

Here’s where this post’s inspiration came from – Road Map For Success.

I can’t take the credit for this bit of mindset training but I thought it was good enough to repost here for you to read:

From: ALPHA CODE by Joe Schroeder

Page #31

SILENT POWER is about being able to control yourself
physically and psychologically. And once you start to
master this skill of not projecting your fears and anxieties
onto other people, which breaks your own communion with
SILENT POWER, you begin to notice just how weakened
most other people are. Think about it.

Lose The Appearance of Concern and Struggle

Remember the intangible characteristic of the Alpha Gene:

It is to thrive beyond survival.

It’s an aura of absolute dominion and if people can even
grab a HINT of your fears, worry or struggle— poof!

You have been exposed as just a commoner and someone
NOT worth to follow.

The Anatomy of a “Thumb Sucker”

When most people are not worrying about dropping dead,
they are usually thinking about themselves, telling you
about their woes, preening and admonishing their egos
in their own futures, trying to impress upon you just how
special they are, or even worse, they are giving you a verbal
laundry list of everyone who has disappointed them recently
and/or telling you about all of the things that have gone
wrong in their lives since you last saw them.

The Death Rattle of the Little Guy, “Oh Poor Me!”

So in the end, what most people do, is they ask you
to notice them.

They expect you to acknowledge and observe them and if
you can, as they are dying, wrap your emotional arms
around them and hug them because they are on the
mouse-wheel of life and scared to death like a little rat.

Admit it, not only are people like that exhausting to listen
to, but also admit that you bump into people like this
virtually every day of your life!

Here’s the lesson. Learn this at all costs:

Step 1: All around you is an electromagnetic energy field.

Step 2: It’s an invisible “field” that surrounds your body
which is attached to the infinite.

Step 3: The ANCIENT Greeks called this the “Etheric”
(see Webster’s)

Step 4: The ETHERIC body is where “the real you” resides.

Step 5: Your ETHERIC BODY is speaking to people even
when your mouth is shut.

The Genetic Code

The Genetic Code says this:

In the jungle, all animals have this message embedded
into their brains and it is this:

“If you see a hurt or dying animal, go EAT IT and wash
the jungle clean of other beasts who can no longer
duplicate, thrive and help keep the natural balance
of the forest.”

That’s what the jungle code is.

“If you are dying or hurt, we will help you out of
your misery and eat you.”

That’s why tigers eat and kill their own wounded cubs.

People Who Complain Are Considered People Dying

Tip: Losers talk about what happened TO them and also they
talk about what happened to them yesterday. Winners, on the
other hand, only talk about WHERE they are going and about
being excited about TOMORROW. Never forget that.

The Silent Code and Hidden Order Within The Village

Amongst humans, the Genetic Code says this:

“Only weak and dying people complain.”

Therefore, to amass INSTANT SILENT POWER, all
you have to do is…

STOP COMPLAINING!

Besides, if you think about it, most people complain
about things which they permit anyway.

The next time one of your buddies is complaining,
just yawn and say:

“You can’t complain about that which you permit.”

That’ll shut-em-up! (wink)

What gives you INSTANT power and a strength that is
instantly recognized by others, as true strength, is this:

( 1 ) Stop Complaining: If you do, it signals to others a
silent death wish and no one feels safe around the hurt
or dying.

( 2 ) Never Tell People About Your Future: Those who do
are looking for others to validate their dreams and wishes
and it’s an obvious tip off that you yourself aren’t about
your future yourself.

( 3 ) Stop Asking People For Anything: Leaders ask very
little from other people except of course within their
own businesses and their own brain trust group.

In the Genetic Code, a person is programmed to resist
other people who psychologically LEAN on them.

Why?

Because to LEAN on others means you are dying and/or
weak and as any tribe will agree, those who are dying
need to be taken out into the field to die alone.

LEANING on others is what makes you instantly UN-Attractive.
Asking for other people to validate you, expecting them to listen
to your “war stories” and to expect other people to support
your inner pain is instant social suicide.

Don’t do it because when you lack this self discipline,
it appears as your “true self” in your etheric FORCE of
energy that surrounds you and everyone can pick up
on it whether you say anything or not.

“Mobile Monopoly Mobile Monopoly Mobile Monopoly.”

I can hear it now. IS Mobile Monopoly a SCAM?

If you haven’t heard by now, you must’ve been out of the country on Safari with no internet access. I’ve been getting emails promoting Mobile Monopoly from people I didn’t even expect to hear from. Many stopped pushing their main offer to go for a quick buck on a sure thing. Heck, when I learned about it, I bought it myself and am currently working with it. I even offered it to my people who I thought would benefit.

Like anything that becomes popular overnight and sounds too good to be true, the naysayers jump right in and start screaming SCAM SCAM SCAM or more profanic like it’s BullS***.

***REALITY CHECK*** I am going to cut through the bull and hype as I see it and give some insight to the Mobile Advertising business.

With one of the most massively promoted programs to date, Adam and several top marketers have pulled in a handsome profit from the sale of Mobile Monopoly more or less saturating the mobile advertising market with thousands of eager new and old timer marketers.

I made a comment on twitter to rile people’s feathers where I stated that the only money to be had in mobile advertising right now is selling the Mobile Monopoly program itself.

Let’s face it, top marketers and Adam Horwitz himself couldn’t argue with that right now with the selling of 1000s of copies in just a few weeks time.

It has your standard facts mixed with some unconvincing unsubstantiated uneducated claims. But aren’t all product and business launches full of both?

Case in point: Things happen much faster on the internet these days, so if you actually fall for the line in MM course where Adam Horwitz compares mobile advertising to google adwords in the late 90s insinuating that there’s a few years of easy money to be had you are going to be in for a rude awakening I predict. I would say the speed at which things happen nowadays, I give it a 6 months tops before it becomes increasingly challenging to make a crazy profit.

Question remains how many people who buy into MobileMonopoly will actually try their hand at it and stick with it for more than a few weeks. For those with money to spend on dozens of advertising campaigns and the discipline and consistency to stick it out to find what works for them, they will undoubtedly find success. But as statistics show, most people buy programs and do absolutely nothing with them. At least if it’s a physical product it might get used as a paper weight or kindling, but Mobile Monopoly is your basic digital information product. Nothing to burn here but time and money, lol.

With so many new advertisers/marketers on the mobile advertising scene, you can expect bid prices to shoot up into potentially unprofitable margins as well as waiting days for campaigns to execute and complete. Fast easy money? Like anything else, that’s just a line that people fall for time and time again. Fast easy money for the few, but not the majority. For it is the majority that is making the few rich. Basic economics people.

Mobile advertising IS here now to stay and is only going to get bigger as time goes on and more people have smart phones in their hands. Competition will become fierce, profit margins will drop – etc… basically, the obvious.

Mobile Monopoly encourages you to focus only on smart phones, specifically iphone and android, and rightly so. Smart phones lend themselves to mobile advertising much better than regular cells – especially when it comes to using the lead capture page strategy that you incorporate with your AWEBER auto responder to build a LIST.

One of the selling points of the program is the claim that there’s less than 2 billion computer internet connections compared to 5 billion cell phones. However, although it is mentioned that there are only 51 MILLION smart phones, the comparison of 51 million to 1.8 billion isn’t pointed out. That’s something to consider. 51 Million phones is not all that big of a market when you have 1000s of advertisers all competing for the same ad space.

Latest sales numbers for the MobileMonopoly program is over 12000. That equates to less than 5000 unique prospects per advertiser – Ok, ok, I’ll admit that’s not a legitimate way of crunching data from a sales potential, but it does give you an idea of the limited amount of ads available at a given time when spread out over the number of advertisers wanting to put their ads out.

That said, is Mobile Monopoly a scam? No, I don’t think it is. Most of the content is well done, but there are discrepancies and incorrect information that Adam glosses over or is perhaps just ignorant of what he’s talking about. What do you expect, as he points out, he’s only 18.. or is it 20?

The thing I find most compelling about mobile advertising in general in which MM does illustrate is the fact that there are so many avenues to choose from with mobile advertising.

So, Is Mobile Monopoly worth the $77? I would have to say yes, especially if you know little to nothing about mobile advertising and want a good beginner tutorial on getting you up to speed quick. Time is of the essence here as with any new business model, so don’t sit on the fence if you want to get into this. Get in NOW not later or don’t bother at all.

In case you haven’t already heard about this from somewhere else and you are into PPC or affiliate marketing or direct marketing or even local business owners who need to be in the loop…

Trust me, it’s NOT going to get any easier than this: $1,005.12 a day with simple cell phone ads that don’t require keywords or a website and pull like mad for pennies even in “ultra competitive” niches:

http://bit.ly/MobileMonopolyMoney

Mobile Monopoly is the first real “game changer” for affiliates I’ve seen in a long time (totally gets rid of the hurdles that come with the usual stuff like SEO and PPC because it works so FAST and it’s so cheap to break into and make it big)…

I know it sounds cliche to say, but this is a “no brainer” to get in on this RIGHT NOW.
Don’t wait and miss out, because the biggest profits in mobile are going to go to the people who start TODAY.

http://bit.ly/MobileMonopolyMoney

Cheers!

Another sign: you are still spending what money you have on the latest training, tool and pre-launch but have yet to make any consistent money or even any money at all. You tell yourself, “I’ll do it just as soon as I finish this course on how-to . . .

Truth hurts, but lack of progress and lack of money should hurt more.

What do I mean? Uh, the one-two punch of marketing and advertising come to mind. Have you written anything lately? Are you making videos? Holding training webinars? Putting out articles and press releases? Asking for the sale? Or more appropo, suggesting they check out your newsletter or email training series? BUILDING YOUR LIST !!! Placing ads on websites like Facebook, Google or Craigslist?

So get out of your comfort zone, get off your butt and take some ACTION.

If you need some more motivation but don’t want to waste too much time, check out Bob Proctor’s story here. He’s got a great system to get you going.

I want to share a trend our industry that has been progressing over the last year or so. With more and more people flocking to the internet to make their mark (or at least an income), the concept of keeping things simple has again become lost in the mix.

As the cream rises to the top and we see a new batch of ‘gurus’ [cringing as I use that word], the newbies and not so newbies are missing the boat by focusing on the wrong things and going about this the wrong way by trying to emulate them when they don’t have the experience or clout to pull it off.

Sure, there’s a place for personal branding but what I’m seeing is little egos trying to be big, while other people’s objectives seem to be a desire to become the latest reality internet star. If that’s what they want and they’re just wanting attention, so be it. But if your goal is to build a long term sustainable business, then pay attention.

I’ve heard people call this erroneous concept Ego Branding marketing, where, let’s face it, most of us are coming across as lame, desperate, corny Gong Show rejects. It’s no wonder they’re not seeing duplication in their efforts and business – which from what I’ve seen, is a blessing in disguise. The medium where this is most apparent is obviously video marketing. By no means am I saying stay away from making a YouTube video for your business. What I am suggesting is that you understand the role it plays in your business before you hit record.

This ego branding is directly conflicting with the concept of ATTRACTION MARKETING. People come of as amateurish and NOT COMPELLING at all. Don’t get me wrong, stories are good and sharing yours is a part of the attraction process. Letting people get a taste of who you are and what you are about is what the attraction marketing part is. What most of this Ego Branding marketing is doing is REPELLING other people. You could almost say, the way ego marketing is being implemented by most people is the exact opposite of Attraction Marketing. Talk about self-sabotage of one’s business.

The goal is not to get EVERYONE in the world to follow you or join your tribe. You are only wanting those like minded souls you resonate with. Once that’s accomplished, let them know what you have to offer in the form of information, training and support – AKA, ‘if you want to work with me, or find out more, click here.’

That’s where your ego steps aside and you let the duplicatable marketing funnel/machine take over – you know, the part that everyone can do. . . the Tools that we all use – autoresponders, capture pages, marketing copy etc.

So remember, the object is to find like minded people who are seeking out information and partners to grow and prosper with, not attempt to vainly entertain or impress with your talents or lack thereof.

Parting thought: Targeted info in front of targeted eyeballs = successful business. Loverage + Leverage = Freedom

Did you know that up to 75% of lottery winners end up broke in just 5 years?

On the flipside, successful business people like Donald Trump have an uncanny knack for recovering their wealth – even after losing everything.

Why does this happen?

Simple. It’s all about your ‘Prosperity Blueprint’ – your set of beliefs related to money.

If your Prosperity Blueprint is flawed, you end up penniless… even if a million dollars falls into your lap.

But if your Prosperity Blueprint is healthy… nothing stops you from reaching your financial targets!

So how do you fix your Prosperity Blueprint?

Reset it in three easy steps.

Learn how to reset your prosperity blueprint here

Step 1: Eliminate Negative Past Programming

Negative past programming is the collection of myths, misconceptions and lies you’ve been taught about money since you were a child. It includes the three Money Myths I mentioned earlier, feelings of financial inadequacy, and the false notion that money is evil.

You must wipe your slate clean before you can reset your Prosperity Blueprint—which means exposing all your negative programming, and learning how to eliminate it.

Step 2: Reprogram Your Mind

What do you do after you wipe your slate clean? You fill it up again, but this time with positive programming. This means understanding the lies behind all the Money Myths you’ve been programmed to believe, and replacing them with accurate, empowering truths about how wealth accumulation and attraction really works.

Step 3: Develop Daily Wealth Attraction Rituals

Athletes train, artists sketch, guitarists strum… everyone who’s good at something has a daily ritual to keep them at the top of their game. The same goes for making money—you must develop a set of daily habits if you want to consistently maintain your money mindset and vibrate at the right frequency for wealth attraction.

If you want a life of lasting prosperity, where abundance flows freely and consistently… you need to work on your mindset.

We’re all magnetic but what are we attracting?

Whether it’s positive life experiences or unpleasant experiences, we’re having one or the other.

You could think of yourself as one of the two ends of a magnet – the north or south pole.

Are you an optimistic happy person with thoughts of abundance and unlimited potential or are you someone who is a bit miserable and negative, cynical with a lack and limitation or victim outlook. We can flip-flop back and forth at times depending on circumstances that occur in our life.

Which end of the spectrum you fit on depends on your upbringing, your life experiences and how you interpret them. This is how your belief system is molded. What is the dialogue going on in your head saying about things?

Most of us have been inundated with a lot of negative programming growing up. Things like no, don’t do that, you can’t be/do/have that, and so on. We seek out courses, techniques and experts to reverse and reprogram our minds to think in a better, more fulfilling way. We change our environment and the types of people we hang out with.

Some of the best advice is to follow your own path, discover and pursue your passions so you end up doing what you love to do. Finding out what your purpose in life is another version of this advice. That to me can sound like pre-destiny if taken the wrong way. But when you discover your passions, your purpose should fall into place. If it doesn’t feel like a fit, then you need to reassess what you think you are passionate about.

So many people – and this is a tragedy – don’t know what they want. This is like sitting in the passenger seat of your own car and giving up your personal power to the whims of the world. It’s said that if you don’t know what you want then you end up taking whatever comes along – and that is rarely a good match for you. In fact, it’s a downright insult to your true self.

Free your mind of unlimiting thoughts and allow yourself to discover what it is that you want. You ARE allowed to change your mind if you decide to want something else down the road. Don’t worry that you might make a wrong choice or get stuck in something you decide later you don’t want.

For some of us, we have an enormous mental block that keeps them from discovering what we want. It can literally keep us from having a coherent thought process. One cause of this dilemma is that deep down we have a belief that we don’t deserve it or don’t think we can realistically achieve it.

This goes back to faulty programming. If what you think is unobtainable, then try starting with small achievements. Something as mundane and silly as deciding what you want to eat for lunch. Not what you feel you SHOULD be eating, but allow yourself to have something you want to have. Sure it’s simple and doesn’t require a lot of thought or work, but the underlying principle is basically the same. The bigger goal might require more action and thought and time, but it can be done.
